Privacy Policy

Digtek Civil Constructions ("we", "us") is a civil contracting business based in Beaudesert, QLD 4285. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it deliberately short, because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Enquiry details. When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number and job details you type into it. When you call or email us directly, we keep whatever you tell us so we can quote the work.
- Site usage. Which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and what device they used. This is aggregate information — it isn't tied to your name.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider records IP addresses and request details as part of running and securing the site.
We don't collect payment details through this website, and we don't ask for sensitive information such as health or financial records.
How we use it
Enquiry details are used to respond to you, prepare a quote, and carry out the work if you go ahead. Site usage helps us understand which parts of the site are useful and whether our advertising is reaching the right people. We do not sell your information, and we don't send marketing emails unless you've asked us to.
Analytics and advertising
- Umami analytics. We use a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool that does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personal information.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta pixel on this site tells us when a visit followed one of our ads, and lets us show follow-up ads to people who have already visited. Meta receives this information and handles it under its own privacy policy. You can control what Meta shows you in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will prevent the pixel loading.
Who else handles your information
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides the spam check on the contact form.
- Ironbark Web — operates the form service that delivers your enquiry to our inbox.
- Meta Platforms — as described above, for advertising measurement.
These providers only handle your information to provide those services to us. Some of them store data on servers outside Australia.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them — typically while we're quoting or working with you, and for a period afterwards for warranty, insurance and tax records. Analytics data is aggregate and retained indefinitely in that form.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and to limit who can access it.
Accessing or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email brent@digtekcivilconstructions.com.au or call 0434 712 631 and we'll sort it out. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we'll try to put it right. If you're not satisfied, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
